The Baywood Designer Homes process
We all have to start somewhere! The estimate or quote stage allows us to take a surface level look at your requirements, your design preferences and your overall wish list and provide an indicative price point. This will change over time, however it will give you a ballpark figure for building with Baywood Designer Homes.
We do offer an initial colour selection consultation prior to the tender, so we can get a feel for the look of your home which will give us more information as we enter your tender appointment. The tender will provide you with a firm price for your build based on additional information collected post quote including soil, surveying and preliminary engineering where necessary.
Your colour selection appointment is often known as the ‘most fun’ part of the build process. It is where you will select all the intricate details within your home such as tapware, lighting, electrical, colours, textures and more. This stage will allow you to really start to get a clear vision for your new home. You will work directly with our interior designer to make your selections and any changes between tender and colour selection will be reflected in the contract.
Your contract is a binding agreement between Baywood Designer Homes and yourself as the client, which outlines legal requirements, expectations, pricing, payment schedules and other important information that will impact your build experience. It is important to ask as many questions as you need at this point so we both move forward with clear, objective goals and expectations of one another. No further changes are accepted after this time.
Our team will work to finalise your construction drawings and submit relevant applications and paperwork to the council on your behalf. We will then be in the councils’ hands in terms of timelines between now and final approval.
Once your plans have been approved by the Council, you will be notified, and the team will start scheduling your build.
Now we can get this party started. Construction will commence on your home and we will maintain updates to you via your site supervisor and administrator. You will have one central point of contact so that you know who to talk to and so we can streamline communication.
Once we start building, you will notice several milestones throughout your build. We will move through the site start, through to base, frame, lock up, fixing, completion and handover. You can follow along the journey and celebrate at each milestone as each one indicates being that one step closer to your dream home.
This is an important day for you and for the builder as the home is finally ready to be handed over and you can start creating your own beautiful memories.
